Hard reset - is a PC game

Hard reset is a PC game that is made exclusively for windows only. It is a fast and was developed by Flying Wild Dog, the same development team responsible for Painkiller (People Can Fly). The development of Hard Reset was inspired by the works of various people who include Neal Stephenson, Phillip K. Dick, and William Gibson especially Blade Runner and Screamers.

The game was released in September 2011 and built in such a way that it can only be played by a single person at a time. It falls under the category of games called First Person Shooter and its legal distributor is Valve Corporation. Hard Reset can be downloaded and is also available in DVD.

The game features a cyberpunk plot as it takes place in a cyberpunk themed city where the player takes the role of the main protagonist known as Michael Fletcher who happens to be a member of a corporation combat unit known as CLN. The main objective of forming this cooperation was so that it could protect the city.

The games incorporate some FPS features that are considered "old school." These features include game design that is more linear, a health system which consists of health packs that are scattered in the various stages of the game, enemies who happen to be tough and need to be taken down and who in this game are called machines. The game takes advantage of environmental hazards feature the event of fighting the enemies. These hazards range from electrical terminals to exploding barrels.

Just like old school first person shooter games, the environment in this game has an environment, which consists of various hidden explosive barrels and vending machines, which have electro shock anti vandalism defenses that can be triggered by being shot at. Unlike most old school first person shooters, though, the game play of Hard Reset is straighter forward and only two weapons are found in this game. These weapons include the CLN Modular Assault Rifle, and the EEF-21 Plasma Rifle. The firing modes of both of these weapons are unlockable. They allow the player to add grenades and rocket launchers.

Just like other PC games, this game has minimum system requirements that should and must be fulfilled if one is to play Hard Reset. The minimum system requirements for Hard Reset include:
